It was over 20 years ago that I stumbled onto the sport of disc dog, with a little help from some high flying dogs on TV, a floppy flyer, and 2 very unruly Australian Shepherds that were literally eating my apartment. What started as a simple hobby to make those naughty dogs tired, has blossomed into a full blown career and my deepest passion.

In 2001, shortly after the 9-11 attacks, I realized life was too short and uncertain to keep putting your dreams on the back burner, so I rescued my first shelter dog. One dog led to three, and three led to the creation of a small rescue that specialized in herding breed dogs needing a job. I quickly realized that the fun backyard sport I had enjoyed with my original Aussies was the perfect fit for these high drive dogs in need.

I began competing in disc a few months later and was bitten by the bug! After some great success on the competition field, in 2006 I began performing with Jump! The Ultimate Dog Show, and the Purina Incredible Dog Team. This led to a 13 year career as Dog Trainer with Purina Farms, as a member of both the Pro Plan Performance Team and Purina Incredible Dog Team.

In my 20 years of Disc, my husband Adrian and I have been blessed with 29 amazing disc dogs; 26 have qualified for a world final, and 6 have shared in winning 11 World Championships. As a member of the USDDN International Judging Committee, I serve as a level 4 certified judge and have judged dozens of qualifiers for AWI, UFO, Skyhoundz, and UpDog. In my spare time, I create biothane dog collars and enjoy dock diving, agility, and hanging out with the dogs at our home in Gerald, Missouri.
